EPS celebrates 10 years in business
2012 marked a very special year for EPS. 10 years ago the company was formally registered with Companies House and began trading.
The company was set up in 2002 with the aim of being one of world's leading specialists in Rustronic® controls as well as offering their in depth experience with the Woodward Netcon® and GE Speedtronic systems®. Their firm commitment to quality, positive management and effective service provision has paid off and the repeat business EPS enjoys from its existing base is a result of their ability to deliver what they promise, when they promise and on budget. This, along with the reputation EPS has for 'getting it right, first time, every time' has led to continued growth and success.
Being based in the UK and Spain enables EPS to provide managed maintenance and maintenance management to operators of Industrial Gas Turbines throughout Europe and beyond. Their scope of work includes not only sites throughout the UK and Spain but France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Russia and is continually expanding.
EPS has a dedicated support team with many years of direct practical experience of gas turbine operation, maintenance and controls, backed by sound scheduling and quality assurance systems including ISO 9001:2008. The Projects Department, along with the support of a strong office team ensure that the 'right man with the right skills is sent to the right job'. Following this philosophy ensures that customer satisfaction is maintained and exceeded time after time.
Mark Steele, Managing Director, sums up the past 10 years: 'The past 10 years have certainly passed much quicker than anticipated. In that period EPS have developed and delivered a set of quality services to the industry to all of the major core engine providers and many stand alone operators. This has generated a solid customer base with a high degree of repeat business. Opening the office in Zaragoza meant that our presence in the European market is now even stronger. We can provide in territory support and our workshop facility is a very useful addition to the company. The plan to build a business built on quality of service not necessarily volume of work has thus far been successful and is largely dependent on the input from the various individuals within the company. A company is nothing without having the right people engaged in the right areas. The next 10 years will no doubt see a different set of challenges to overcome. Given the radical changes in the various economies throughout Western Europe over the last few years, it is expected that these problems will be more commercially driven rather than product or technically driven. We are justifiably proud of our ISO 9001:2008 accreditation and I believe that our principle of quality and 'getting it right first time' will serve us well through this no doubt turbulent period, as efficiency of product delivery is key to customer satisfaction'.
